Leidos Senior Program Manager in MCLEAN, Virginia


The Leidos Defense and Intelligence Group (D&IG) has a Program Manager opening for an experienced cleared professional seeking a rewarding and challenging opportunity to lead a team of diverse technical analysts for an Intelligence Community customer.


Responsible for managing all aspects of a 20 FTE program, including project planning, development and execution according to cost, schedule, and scope requirements. Active management of project team personnel, cost and schedule to ensure contract compliance, and serve as the main customer interface. Responsible for ensuring complete customer satisfaction by listening to and understanding customer expectations and concerns, and effective execution of all program aspects. Shall have superior communication skills and contribute to and help foster a positive, professional and high-performance work environment. Willingness to work closely with Customer management and be an integrated member of their team is essential. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changing requirements, as well as serve as a liaison between technical staff and the Customer.


Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience in management. 5+ years experience working with missile related topics is required. Candidate must possess a TS/SCI with polygraph. Prior management experience and excellent people management skills and communication skills with the Customer are a must. Demonstrated success managing government programs in excess of $5m annually a plus. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical ability and solid interpersonal skills. Candidates must be highly organized in order to be responsive to multiple organizations within the Customer served by this contract. Attention to detail and ability to track many ongoing projects simultaneously is a core requirement of his position. Must be able to perform job requirements independently and in team environments and must have ability to interface with all levels of Leidos and Customer management.


ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with missiles, UAVs or space weapons and their design and manufacture is a plus. An engineering or technical background, preferably in a missile-related field, would be a major plus. Ideally a candidate would have either industrial or military experience with missiles, UAVs or space platforms. Experience with managing the development and execution of professional training on technical topics is also desired.
