Conduct a variety of activities in support of FAA assignments. Tasks may include supporting the development of operational benefits of new capabilities, cost-benefit analyses, risk analysis, data collection, data analysis, simulation model execution, software development, economic analysis, and operational effectiveness studies. Seven plus years relevant experience with strong quantitative skills and computer experience required. Background in aviation and/or transportation. Strong candidates will have knowledge of FAA decision support tools and possess good communications skills both written and verbal) as customer interface is required.

Provide support in operational impact analyses for various FAA projects that have the potential to change some aspect of operations. Estimating the benefits to the FAA and associated stakeholders (e.g., passengers, airlines).


Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, Mathematics/Operations research. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

7+ years of related experience with 5+ years supporting tFAA with benefits and operational analyses. Good understanding of FAA ATC operations including: airport/airspace capacity estimation, demand prediction and safety impacts

Knowledge of queuing theory and application to the aviation environment

US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a “Public Trust” clearance

Strong Excel and Database skills (Oracle or other SQL preferred)


Experience with statistics to including basic calculations and time-series analysis

SQL or other large database languages (e.g., Oracle PL SQL)

Understanding of financial analysis and functions (e.g., NPV)
